School induction programme

As a part of B. Ed curriculum, a five day induction program was assigned to the B. Ed trainees for the academic year 2024- 2026. We the B. Ed trainees of Badhariya B. Ed training college had an opportunity to visit Meenakshi Vilasam Government Vocational Higher Secondary School [ M. V. G. V. H. S. S] Punthalathazham, Kollam. The school induction programme was scheduled from 27th August 2024 to 3rd September 2024. Our team consist of five members.

 

Day -1

We reached the school at 9.am and hand over the letter and register to headmistress. In that day we have an opportunity to attend the school assembly. After that all of us have substitution classes and also some got observation class. We also have opportunity to serve mid day meal to the students 



Day -2

In this day after prayer all of us get substitution classes untill afternoon. Today we visit the library.


Day -3

Today like other day we get substitution classes and also get observation class in 9. A by liji teacher. In this day we assist teachers for IT quiz and maths quiz

Phase 2 teaching practice ( nov17-21)

 These days of  teaching practice were very productive and helped me improve my teaching skills further. During t hese days, I taught topics related to area of a circle and conducted problem-solving sessions. I used PPT and activities to make the class more engaging. I also conducted a diagnostic test to understand students’ learning levels. These experiences helped me identify students’ strengths and difficulties. I took inquiry training model lesson plan in one day. I observed that activity-based teaching increased student participation and interest. Some students were able to solve problems confidently, while a few needed additional support. This made me realize the importance of giving individual attention and proper guidance.
