Art center visit

  we embark on an enriching journey to the Art Centre, a vibrant hub of creativity and self-expression. This visit promises to inspire our imagination, foster artistic appreciation, and provide a unique opportunity to engage with the artistic community.

As part of B-Ed curriculum we had to visit "sankar memorial national cartoon museum  and art gallery" along with a historical monument " Krishnapuram palace".

Krishnapuram palace 

A historic palace renowned for its traditional beauty and cultural significance. It is built by Anizham thirunal  marthanda varma, the king of Travancore, the palace reflects traditional kerala architecture with its galid roof, narrow corridors and stunning courtyards. Now the archeological department of Kerala transformed the palace into museum.





Sankar Memorial Cartoon Museum and

                           Art Center


Shankar Memorial National Cartoon Museum and Art Gallery is an art museum established by the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi under the Government of Kerala, is a tribute to the renowned Indian cartoonist Shankar. The institution is situated at Krishnapuram in Kayamkulam which is the home town of Shankar, in Kerala. The museum displays a rich collection of Sankar's cartoons, caricatures, his overcoat, brush, wooden chair, etc along with the works of other artists.
