Cognitive map

Image
Concept Map 1 and Concept Map 2 were prepared to organize and present mathematical concepts in a clear and systematic way. Concept Map 1, based on Statistics, helped in connecting key ideas such as measures of central tendency and dispersion, enabling better understanding of formulas and relationships. Concept Map 2, based on Continuity and Differentiability, showed the linkage between continuity, differentiability, rules of differentiation, and important theorems. Both concept maps made the chapters easier to understand by visually connecting ideas and reducing confusion. They supported meaningful learning, improved memory, and helped in quick revision. Preparing these maps also encouraged logical thinking and deeper understanding of the topics, making the teaching–learning process more effective.

Phase 2 teaching practice ( jan19-21)

The final days of my teaching practice were meaningful and helped me complete my teaching journey in a positive way. On Day 30, I continued teaching and clarified the remaining problems for students.  On other days i continued in that class.I also collected feedback from students about my teaching. Their responses helped me understand how they perceived my classes and which methods were helpful for them. This gave me insight into my strengths and areas for improvement.

Phase 2 teaching practice ( jan 12-16)

During these days, I taught topics like area of a sector, prisms, and volume of prisms. I introduced new concepts, solved exercise problems, and used PPT presentations and group activities to make learning more engaging. I also used a constructivist approach with real-life problems to help students relate mathematics to daily life. I observed that students were more active and interested during activity-based and discussion-based classes. Many students were able to solve problems with confidence, while a few needed extra guidance. This helped me understand the importance of giving clear instructions and individual support.

Phase 2 teaching practice ( jan 6-jan 8)

After a short gap, I continued my teaching practice  during these days I began a new chapter parts of circle. I used ICT model lesson plan to explain the concept. It helped to present the concepts and problems clear. During these day I taught topic like length of arc . I observed that students showed interest when lessons were presented visually and with clear examples. Some students were able to grasp the concepts quickly, while a few required more guidance and practice. This made me realize the importance of giving sufficient examples and checking students’ understanding regularly .

Innovative work

Image
The innovative work focuses on teaching the concept of distance on the number line in an interesting and practical way. Instead of explaining only through textbook methods, a simple working model is used to make the concept clear  and visual. The model includes a number line with movable arrows that represent different real numbers. By sliding these arrows, students can see and understand how the distance between two numbers changes. This helps them realize that distance is always positive and is found using absolute value.

Penta spark ( sports day)🏃‍♀️

The sports day “Penta Spark” was conducted at Badhariya B.Ed. College on December 15th, 16th, and 17th with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and staff. The three-day event aimed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship among future teachers. The program began with an inaugural ceremony, including a welcome speech, oath-taking,  rally etc. conduct sports items like badminton, ball throw, relay , race, long jump, etc.

Phase 2 teaching practice ( nov24-nov 26)

During these days, I taught topics like absolute value, distance, and midpoint using different teaching models such as concept attainment and activity-based methods. I also used a working model to explain distance, which made the lesson more interesting and clear for students. I noticed that students were more engaged when I used models and interactive methods. Some students actively participated and answered questions, while a few needed more support to understand the concepts. This helped me understand the importance of using teaching aids and giving clear explanations. I also conduct an achievement test in last Day to evaluate students understanding.
